YYC Freemasons Hall - a Delicious Destination
Another chili cook-off is in the books, and this was a hard-fought affair. The four chilis were all wonderful, ranging from scorching hot to spicy-sweet. But in the end it was Bro. Lee Mutzeneek (our Senior Steward) who came out on top with a concoction of complex flavours that the Brothers liked best. Thank you to everyone who entered, attended and enjoyed the fellowship and a grand evening which was also highlighted by W. Bro. Jeff Varty and a very interesting lecture titled " An Introduction to Logical Fallacies." There is more Masonic education to come in the following weeks.

Monday March 25th 2019 saw Bro. Clayton Bell begin his Masonic journey at a First Degree ceremony. ABOVE: The members of Lodge Renfrew #134 Calgary came out to witness the occasion, with fine work being done by the degree team. LEFT: Bro. Clayton Bell & Worshipful Master Jeff Varty. RIGHT: Actual Brothers - Bro. Clayton is congratulated by his brother Bro. Jayson Grant, also of our lodge. Honourable Mention: Festive Board was highlighted by incredible chilli by Senior Stewart Lee Mutzeneek (an early favourite for our annual chilli cook off coming up soon). Great work everyone!
Thank you to the Wardens, Stewards and all Brethren involved in putting together our annual Historic Night. A great venue (Bank & Baron Pub) as well as fellowship, food and a few pints!
Please contact Junior Warden, Bro Jared Deschner @ firstname.lastname@example.org with your RSVP as soon as possible.

Monday, February 25th saw a wonderful ceremony conducted at St. Marks Lodge #118.
Two of their candidates joined with two from Lodge Renfrew to gain Entered Apprentice designation and begin their journey into the fraternity of Freemasonry. The degree team comprised from both lodges did an excellent job, and was well attended, including members of the Grand Lodge of Alberta.

Monday January 28th was Lodge Renfrew's annual Robbie Burns Supper. Our Piper, Brother Esam Wshah did a great job, as did Orator Brother Duncan Strachan who was visiting from King Solomon #41 in Cochrane. The Haggis and roast beef was delightful (as was the scotch selection). Thank you to everyone who came out and helped organize and execute the evenings festivities especially the Wardens and Stewarts who always put on great meals and events.
