The Brethren of Lodge Renfrew 134 are excited to announce our 100 year centennial celebration!
On October 3, 1923, several Masons met at the old Alexander Corner Masonic Lodge in downtown Calgary to create a new Lodge. After subsequent meetings and request to the Grand Lodge of Alberta, the members voted to create a new lodge with the name Renfrew, in honour of the Baron Renfrew, one of the lesser titles of the Prince of Wales. A letter was drafted to His Royal Highness requesting permission to use the title of Renfrew, which was granted. Our Lodge was formed on December 12, 1923 after receiving dispensation from the Grand Lodge of Alberta, and was officially consecrated on June 13, 1924. Join us on May 25, 2024 for our 100 year celebration and re-consecration ceremony! |
